Ron Clare
Ron started his career as a clinical and school psychologist. He soon became an administrator in a state residential facility for developmentally disabled. From this point he began his transition to HR, adding responsibility for the facilities labor relations program in addition to his line administration duties. He was then recruited to the state's central HR office as their personnel psychologist- developing and validating civil service examinations, establishing performance standards and serving as internal organizational consultant. He served as Deputy Personnel Administrator for the State of Rhode Island, leading a statewide classification/compensation study and leading an Oracle implementation. He later served as Director of the Human Resources Bureau for the Broward County Sheriff's Office. Throughout his career he has consulted on a variety of HR and organizational issues in both the private and public sector. He has been a motivationally oriented keynote speaker for the Association of State Highway and Transportation Organization, the Texas Community Criminal Justice Association, among others. He has also served in a leadership role in IPMA-HR, particularly in the Eastern Region.
