Tina Ott Chiappetta
As Senior Director of Government Affairs and Communication, International Public Management Association for Human Resources, Ms. Chiappetta provides members with information on congressional activity and court cases affecting human resource professionals. She is also responsible for representing IPMA-HR’s interests to Congress and executive agencies. A graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law, she is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Virginia and New York. She gained Hill experience as a legislative intern in the office of Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY) and worked as regulatory council for a state government relations firm before joining IPMA-HR.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Washington Update - This session will cover recent legislative, regulatory and judicial activity affecting public sector HR professionals. Topics include FMLA expansion, ADA amendments, as well as proposed collective bargaining and mandatory OSHA coverage. Recent Supreme Court decisions will also be addressed.
