FRANK H. DENSLER AWARD


The Frank H. Densler Award (formerly the Past President's Award) was established in 1979-80 to recognize a person in Federal, State, or local government who has contributed significant direction and effort in improving the vitality of the Eastern Region of the IPMA-HR and the field of public human resource administration.  At the request of the Region’s Past Presidents, the 1985-86 Executive Committee of the Eastern Region of IPMA voted to change the name of the Past President's Award in honor of Frank H. Densler who was the first President of the Eastern Region of IPMA-US (now IPMA-HR).  Mr. Densler died on November 20, 1985 at the age of 100 years.

PURPOSE:
This is the most prestigious of the Eastern Region’s awards.  The purpose of this award is to recognize and honor a member of the Eastern Region who has contributed significant direction and effort in improving the vitality of the Eastern Region of IPMA-HR and the field of public human resource administration.

CRITERIA:
The major criteria, as evaluated by a committee of Past Presidents of the Eastern Region, is that the person selected must have made a significant contribution to the goals, purposes and objectives of IPMA-HR Eastern Region and the field of public human resource administration.
